Come and enjoy a fun time in the amazing woods and outdoor learning area at Caterham School. We will develop our woodland skills; using tools for crafting projects, building and learning about different kinds of wood to create your own treasures to take home. We will explore and practice fire lighting and fire maintenance; cooking some tasty individual treats on the fire. We will also follow and support the children’s interests; with plenty of opportunities for free play, den building and exploring the local woodland. We do have an indoor location should the weather become particularly challenging however we prefer to be outside as much as possible.

We have enhanced our Risk Benefits Assessment to include Covid 19 protocols with plenty of opportunities for hand washing and space to work and play.

Before booking please ensure that you will be able to provide your child with adequate clothing to be outside for a sustained amount of time in all weather. They will need at least one thermal base layer, a cosy fleece and waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers, thermal / warm socks and suitable footwear. A few layers are the best option.
